For a career, Mike has carved out an interesting niche for himself. He's established himself as a cartographer for the gaming industry.
Since his work often involves dense amounts of detail, it was important to show large previews of the work when possible. One thing we didn't want to lose, however, was the user's orientation within the site. Traditional popup windows were ruled out as annoyances that art directors wouldn't tolerate.
We determined that the Lightbox javascript library was our best option. This allowed us to provide large previews within the browser. Once a preview is opened, the user can navigate through the entire set by clicking previous and next.
